CHAPIN RESIDENCE 5
4,200 s.f. Beverly Hills, CA COMPLETED 2007
The Chapin Residence Five was a completely new remodel and addition to a 1959 Hal Levitt house which is situated on a 72,000 S.F. hillside lot in Beverly Hills with views towards Beverly Park and the San Fernando Valley. The property included a 2,200 S.F. Guest House overlooking a US Open certified tennis court below, an outdoor BBQ entertainment area and a brand new pool and hot tub off of the Master Bedroom Suite. The remodel included a new Dining Room, a completely modernized Kitchen and a fully equipped Family Room. Stacking Fleetwood sliding doors were used continuously along the western edge of the house to maximize the seamless indoor/outdoor experience of the main rooms. The newly enlarged Master Bedroom was built from the ground up and included a large seating area with stacking glass doors that opened directly onto the pool area and a large walk-in closet and dressing area adjacent to a 10' x 12' Wet Room with showers, jacuzzi tub and a sensuous Le Corbusier inspired sauna bench.
